Nike Air Force 1 Shadow

This Air Force 1 Shadow blends stunning colours with a collection of comfortable materials for a truly captivating sneaker. The first of these vibrant tones is Racer Blue, which stands out clearly on the rim of the outsole. Its bold effect is even more powerful when looked at from the bottom as the central section of the outsole is white, creating a wonderful contrast against its edges. This outsole also features the classic ridged contours that form circular grip patterns beneath the forefoot and heel, both deep and narrow grooves alternating with one another to secure excellent traction.

Meanwhile, the rich blue that encircles the bottom of the foot diffuses upwards, gradually blending with the midsole’s white hue. This gives the feature an appealing colour gradient, while an additional tab of rubber with Air lettering sits over its lateral heel. Another set of Air text can be seen below this on the midsole, giving a double indication of the springy cushioning hidden away in the heel.

This tab is just the first of many layered aspects to be found across the mostly white upper of this sneaker. The next is in the forefoot, where two mudguards lie atop one another. The lower one, which is more visible on the medial side, is made of a white canvas material, while the top one comes in smooth white leather. This creates an intriguing textural variation that plays out on other parts of the sneaker, such as the eyestay, whose main layer of leather rests upon a piece of canvas which subtly emerges from under its lateral and bottom edges.

The toe box and midfoot panels also contain this pleasant white canvas, perforations in the former feature bringing aeration to the toes. Leather makes up the rear overlay, and the dual heel tab once again combines canvas and leather. The main heel panel is embroidered with the word “nike”, and the top of the letters of the same word can be seen peeking out in Blue Tint on the panel behind it. This charming tone features across the fluffy swooshes that adorn the sidewalls of the sneaker, as well as the additional swoosh that has been printed underneath the main one on the lateral side.

Elsewhere, the furry white laces are held in place by an AF1-branded dubrae, below which is another set of debossed AF1 lettering in the end of the eyestay. At the other end of the tongue, there is a white label with Nike Air text, and white fabric wraps around the padded inner lining. Meanwhile, the Racer Blue surface of the insole is decorated with a white graphic in the shape of a flower blossom. A swoosh in another rich shade of blue lies at its centre, adding one last radiant detail to the sneaker.
