Nike Air Force 1 Boot

This Air Force 1 Boot has an outwardly sturdy appearance that belies the softness within. Light beige tones blanket many parts of the shoe, beginning with the heavy duty rubber outsole, whose crenellated edges give it a dynamic look. Underneath, more jagged formations cut across its surface, forming diamond shapes that increase in size as they move outwards. This provides the kind of grip that is needed in a solid boot, before Air cushioning inside the Summit White midsole softens things up. The presence of this padding is indicated by the large Air lettering on the side of the heel, which is surrounded by the more textured surface that covers the rest of the feature. Running around the top half of the midsole is an indented shelf that adds a layer of depth to the design. Above this, its exterior becomes smoother, and a groove of stitching encircles the entire thing.

Elsewhere, the upper switches to another pale tone called Light Bone. This off-white hue can be found on almost all of the remaining parts of the shoe, including the smooth synthetic leather overlays in the forefoot and rear, as well as the recessed panels through the toe box and midfoot. Along the seams that connect these different sections, extra strips of protective material have been placed to augment the upper’s weather-resistant capabilities. Perforations remain in the toe box and midfoot panels to allow breathability, while the high collar and strap add a supportive structure around the ankle. The strap itself is made of a stretchy fabric on its medial end that links up with a robust loop on its lateral side. A thicker piece of rubbery material decorated with Air Force 1 text, a swoosh and a series of embossed stars can be passed through it and fastened with Velcro to lock the boot in place and give the wearer a secure fit.

The Light Bone tongue has a darker beige fabric running along its peak, with the same colour filling out the capitalised Nike lettering that has been debossed into it. The thick padded inner lining features this same deeper tone, while Nike Air text is printed onto the insole. A convenient pull tab rises up above the heel panel, which is imprinted with a Summit White swoosh, and a further embroidered Nike logo adorns the end of the eyestay. Adding a powerful depth to the flanks are the double-layered swooshes, which constitute the final stylish element of this reliable boot.
