Since being founded in 2010, On has been known for its high-quality running shoes. These have evolved over time to offer ever-greater comfort and support, and in 2022, the brand produced a new model that provides a unique feeling of comfort with each step: the On Cloudrunner.

The Cloudrunner is built upon a plush, bouncy sole unit comprising shock-absorbing CloudTec pods within a lightweight Zero-Gravity foam casing. As well as being incredibly comfortable to run on, this midsole features a carefully crafted concave shape which cradles the foot for maximum support. Allied with the wide base of the sole, the 9mm heel-to-toe drop and the sturdy heel counter, this provides excellent stability. Meanwhile, the brand’s signature Speedboard runs from heel to midfoot for added responsiveness. Underfoot, the outsole incorporates a tread pattern of grippy diamond formations and various flex grooves, facilitating confident movement and agile mobility.

The upper of the On Cloudrunner incorporates two layers of engineered mesh that deliver durability, flexibility and softness around the entire foot. The shoe’s standard lacing is held in place by a series of loops on a central tongue strip decorated with On Cloudrunner text, while the tongue itself is lined with plush foam to match the generous padding around the collar.

Aesthetically, the Cloudrunner is sleek and stylish, with a minimalist upper and a bold sole unit. No-sew overlays create elegant lines across the design, providing extra reinforcement as they go, and delicate branding effects appear on the flanks, lateral forefoot and tongue.

In 2024, On released the Cloudrunner 2, imbuing it with several upgrades for better cushioning and support. Meanwhile, the brand also offers a special Wide version to suit different foot types as well as a Waterproof edition to protect against the elements.
