Distinctive details show up across this Nike Air Force 1 Low x Off-White™, setting it out as a sneaker that is the result of a compelling collaboration. A Sail outsole starts things off, its pivot-circle tread patterns providing high-quality traction, and its star-shaped nodes adding an intriguing aesthetic. The midsole keeps the same creamy tone, its comfortable filling combining foam and Air for a soft feeling underfoot. Just in front of the traditional Air lettering embossed onto the lateral heel, a second set of this text is printed in bold black capitalised letters inside a pair of quotation marks.

The upper is made of smooth leather, with a forefoot mudguard encircling a perforated toe box and midfoot panels marked by additional ventilation holes. In addition to the heel overlay and eyestay, these parts all come in a clean white tone. The heel panel has been embossed with Nike Air text that is slightly obscured by the heel strip, which, instead of disappearing under the overlay, extends over the top of it, white zigzag stitching along its edges giving it a strong look. Above this, the collar has exposed foam in a pleasantly pale shade of blue, an element that repeats on the rim of the tongue. This last feature is plain white without any branding over the top but with a white tag displaying orange Nike text and a swoosh sewn into its lateral side.

Elsewhere, more marks of both brands exist, for example, in the trademark Off-White™ zip-tie that is attached to the top of the laces. Meanwhile, the insole contains a black Nike swoosh next to the company’s name and the criss-crossing arrows of Virgil Abloh’s fashion label. The sneaker’s flanks contain dusky Metallic Silver swooshes with broad white stitches zigzagging around the sides. Beneath the lateral one, a vibrant orange patch can be seen, while the medial swoosh lies across black text that refers to both brands. It also references Nike’s Beaverton headquarters before finishing with “c. 1982” to honour the year that the first AF1 design was released and thus finish this captivating sneaker with a heritage touch.
