Sambarose

When the Samba first came out in the late 1940s, it was intended as a football boot for icy conditions, but in the decades since, it has grown into a classy lifestyle sneaker. Today, it comes in many different forms, one of which is the women’s exclusive adidas Sambarose.

The upper of the Sambarose is much like that of the classic model, with an all-leather build of the highest quality. It has the familiar T-toe overlay, heel tab and Three-Stripes logos, but these are all decorated with intricate lines of stitching that zig-zag to and fro along their edges for an elegant touch. Golden Samba lettering has been stamped onto the lateral flank in a refined font, and the adidas Trefoil appears on the tongue to complete the stylish upper.

The platform sole unit is the most distinctive feature of the Sambarose. Made of traditional gum rubber, it both elevates the wearer and delivers a powerful look through the textured pattern running along its surface. This captivating design incorporates another Trefoil logo, as does the outsole, which offers excellent grip through triangular tread formations on the forefoot and a wavy structure of rippling lines across the midfoot and heel.

Since the silhouette was first revealed in 2018, a variant known as the adidas Sambarose Eazy has been added to the collection. This casual slip-on edition features the same chunky sole unit, but its laces have been removed and replaced with a panel of smooth leather that covers the top of the foot, giving it a unique appearance.

In 2021, the adidas Sambarose was involved in a collaboration with Swarovski that produced three exquisite colourways, thus signifying the elegance and sophistication of this chic lifestyle sneaker.
