Nike Dunk Low
"Reverse Panda Neon"
FD9756-001
This dapper Nike Dunk Low offers an alternative take on the famous Panda colourway via its use of an inverted colour scheme and the addition of offbeat tones. While the traditional look features black overlays on a white background, the Reverse Panda Neon opts for black across its tumbled leather underlayer. This gives it a sleek base through the toe box, midfoot panels and part of the heel, while the perforations in the forefoot make the shoe highly breathable.
Atop this dark canvas, Photon Dust overlays can be found, contrasting perfectly in their soft grey hues. These sections make up the forefoot mudguard, the eyestay and the rear overlay, with this last feature resting over the eyestay at the top, the pair of smooth leather pieces therefore sharing the uppermost eyelets. At the other end, the bottom eyelets go through both the eyestay and the mudguard, with Photon Dust laces tying the whole set together. A black tongue with a mesh exterior sits beneath them, and vibrant branding can be found in a label sewn into its peak. Here, Volt Nike text and a swoosh have been placed, bringing added radiance to the sneaker.
Within the shoe, below the flexible black mesh that covers its inner walls, there is a white insole with more Volt-coloured branding. This neon green hue returns one last time on the Nike text embroidered into the Photon Dust heel panel. Meanwhile, swooshes in this same muted grey extend down the flanks, their midsections marked by fine lines of black stitching that run along the front edge of each rear overlay. More intricately stitched thread skirts the overlays, giving the shoe a finely crafted feel.
Underfoot, the typical combination of a foam-filled white midsole and solidly built black outsole offer a foundation that is both comfortable and grippy. On the latter feature, placed between the concentric circle grip patterns in the forefoot and the lugs in the heel, is a final set of embossed Nike lettering, which rounds things out with subtlety and style.
