Jordan 4 Retro
"Military Blue"
FV5029-141
The Air Jordan 4 silhouette was launched in 1989, and this Industrial Blue colourway was one of the original four designs to come out in its first year. Back then, it was known as the Military Blue – the name it has been brought back with twice in the intervening years. Released in September 2006 and June 2012 respectively, these retro models both had Jordan Brand’s Jumpman logo on the heel, insole and outsole instead of the Nike Air and Nike swoosh branding seen on the ‘89 edition. The latest iteration honours the debut model by returning to the exact look of the original but with the new name of Industrial Blue.
This classic Jordan 4 sneaker features the iconic look of the original silhouette, offering a design full of vintage styling and old-school appeal. The refined colour scheme exudes elegance, while the premium materials express the high level of craftsmanship that has gone into creating the shoe. Fine Off-White leather forms the majority of the upper, with a plush panel of Neutral Grey nubuck wrapping around the toe for a subtle contrast. Meanwhile, stronger tonal variations are brought about by the Industrial Blue accents that show up everywhere from the sole unit to the tongue branding and the breathable inserts behind the AJ4’s trademark sidewall netting. This beautiful shade of ocean blue is perhaps most prominent on the large heel panel, where it acts as the perfect backdrop for the bright white Nike Air lettering and swoosh – a fitting way to round off this faithful retro.
