Jordan 11 Retro

This heritage Jordan 11 Retro design is an homage to the original 1995 colourway. It was made to say “thank you” to those who have supported the sneaker over the decades since it first came out, and as such it is called Gratitude. Its foundational layer is a translucent rubber outsole with an off-white, creamy tinge running through it and wavy grip lines crossing it from one side to the other. Opaque, black areas reside in the forefoot and heel, their herringbone tread patterns bringing additional traction underfoot. Meanwhile, behind the partially see-through parts of the outsole, the AJ11’s famous carbon fibre plate can be viewed. Below the centre of the foot, a white Jumpman also appears next to a section of the shank where the lightweight, durable plate emerges from behind the outsole on the medial side.

Above this, the white, slightly textured midsole is made from plush Phylon foam with a full-length Air unit inside, providing maximum comfort to the wearer. Next comes the iconic patent leather mudguard, here in a suave black tone. Its gleaming surface extends around the entire circumference of the shoe, for a bold look. Over the top of the foot is a piece of white tumbled leather, with a smoother overlay encircling the heel. Six strips of white leather reach across either side of the quarter panel to form the shoe’s webbed lacing system, each one looping back to create an eyelet that accommodates the white laces.

Inside, the lining is completely black, and the insole features the same dark tone but has a Metallic Gold highlight in the form of the number 23 printed onto its surface. In fact, many of the sneaker’s refined branding elements are decorated in this regal hue, including the 23 pressed into the black heel panel and the mini Jumpman on the band of black material across the centre of the tongue. Either side of this latter logo are the words “Jumpman” and “Jordan” in stylised white lettering. These add to the model’s sophisticated look, as does the welded Metallic Gold Jumpman set into the lateral heel to round out this powerful Air Jordan 11 design.
