Jordan 1 Retro High OG

This Jordan 1 Retro High OG is based on the 1985 original, bringing it heritage charm, as well as the nickname Shadow 2.0. Underfoot, it has a black outsole with the familiar grippy patterns found on other AJ1s, including pivot-circles in the forefoot and more linear formations across the heel to facilitate various types of movement. A combination of Air and foam cushioning has been placed into the white midsole attached to it, thus creating a shoe that is both sturdy and comfortable to walk in.

On the upper, the classic black and grey colour palette of the earlier Shadow colourway has been used, the former tone acting as the base layer and the latter covering the overlays. As such, the toe box is black, its surface filled with ventilation holes that add a cooling effect through the forefoot. A Light Smoke Grey mudguard surrounds it, and a pair of overlays in the same tone extends up from the midsole just behind it. Each one of these has three eyelets that hold the lower end of the black laces. The rest of their length flows through the eyelets of the Light Smoke Grey eyestay to secure the foot beneath the black canvas tongue.

Elsewhere, smooth leather panels enclose the heel – at the top with a section that wraps around the high-top ankle, and in the form of a heel counter at the bottom. While the latter is elegantly plain, the former has a set of Air Jordan Wings printed onto its lateral side in black. Meanwhile, Light Smoke Grey Nike Air branding highlights the black tongue patch and insole. More dark shades coat the inner lining, the outer part of the collar and the midfoot panels, which taper as they curve upwards towards the heel. Lying across each sidewall is a Light Smoke Grey swoosh, the memorable logos adding a final suave touch to this classy Air Jordan 1.
