This Nike Air Force 1 PLT.AF.ORM has a bifurcated design that is full of eye-catching contrasts. The bottom section of the shoe is made up of a Sail sole unit which itself comes in two parts. The lower one is an outsole with deep circular grooves arranged in lines that increase in size as they move outwards from two central points under the heel and forefoot. Augmenting this grippy rubber surface is a broad border that contains thick lugs along the sides and star-shaped patterns on the toe and heel. Resting atop this is an elevated midsole that incorporates Air cushioning so that it provides plenty of comfort underfoot. It has a short line of stitching around the toe and a large division in the heel that tapers off towards the midfoot for a stacked look at the rear of the shoe. Capitalised Air lettering fills in a small section of this groove on the lateral side to announce the soft padding within.

Moving to the upper, things change entirely. Faux snakeskin coats almost the whole exterior, giving it an exotic look. The scales that it is made up of feature a range of dark and light browns and several tones in between. Subtle Nike Air branding in a satisfying light brown has been embroidered into the heel panel and the tongue, while a further piece of AF1 lettering decorates the toe end of the eyestay. More soft brown sections fill the interior of the shoe, and black text that reads “AF1.EST.1982” is printed onto the insole in reference to the year the original AF1 silhouette was first established.

The only parts of the upper not to exhibit the dynamic snakeskin material are the Hemp-coloured laces and dubrae, and the smooth leather swooshes that display this same hue on the flanks. These large Nike logos vary from one side of the foot to the other. On the lateral flank, one extends from just in front of the heel panel to the rear of the toe box, a recessed section behind it creating the appearance of another swoosh. A small portion of it has been cut off where it touches the midsole, and its tip disappears under the eyestay. Meanwhile, on the medial side, the swoosh starts further back, emerging from under the heel panel and stretching over the zigzag stitching along the seam of the midfoot before slipping beneath the forefoot mudguard. The last fine detail is provided by the delicate silver box on the lace dubrae, within which is a final tiny swoosh.
